If your family is tired of Hamburger Helper, try using leftover roast beef or cooked chicken in place of the hamburger! My family loves it! -Robin

Can't housebreak that darn dog? Use the "Crate Method". Simply put the dog in a cage for two weeks whenever he is in the house. Choose a location where he can be with the family. This only takes two weeks. Only let him out when it is time to do his business. It works wonderfully! -Robin

Can't get that ink stain out? Try using aerosol hairspray. Test first on a part of the fabric that won't be seen for colorfastness. Works great on those white waitress aprons! -Robin

Get a stain on your carpet or furniture? Use pure lemon extract on it,removes the stain not the color! -Marilyn

Hate to wash drapes cause it's a pain to take out all the drape pins....and have to re-measure and put back in?....don't....take a knee high stocking....gather top together all pins facing in....put knee high over it secure with rubber band....wash....no problem....gets clean...and you don't have to re-pin! -No name left

Got a red wine or grape juice stain?....use white wine on it....takes it away and does not fade the material....also works on most Kool-Aid stains! -Marilyn

To clean the "gunk" out of hairbrushes, remove hair with a comb, soak hairbrushes (and combs) in a sink or bucket with hot water, shampoo, and if they have an odor, a tablespoon of baking soda. Soak overnight and just rinse clean in the morning. -Mary

To make cleaning dried on grunge in the microwave easier, fill a mixing bowl with water and microwave on high for 3 - 5 minutes first. Dried on spills and splatters will be softened by the steam and wipe away much more easily. -Nori

To avoid cracks in eggshells when hard boiling eggs, put eggs in pan of cold water, bring to boil....as soon as the water starts to boil, turn off heat and cover for 10-12 minutes. Eggshells won't crack! -Cheryl

Why boil cabbage and make your house smell then have to handle hot cabbage leaves....just throw a whole head of cabbage in the freezer....the day you want to make cabbage rolls....take it out run it under water....core it....wrap and make them....leaves are tender as if cooked....and there is no loss of vitimins....so easy! -Marilyn aka "Iggy"

To avoid losing baby socks in the washer and dryer, safety pin them to a larger article of clothing and then wash and dry them. -Heidi

Out of expensive cleaning supplies? Try using baking soda to clean sinks, stove tops and even bathtubs. Non-abrasive and a natural brightener. -DeAll

Kid wants lunch packed but too old for a lunch box...wants it in a brown bag....here is how to keep it all disposible but cold.....freeze 8oz or 16oz carton drinks....in morning thaw a bit in micro wave....put in lunch with sandwich on top ...lunchtime...drink cold.....sandwich cold...perfect! -Marilyn aka "Iggy"

After spending the day at the beach or lake do you want to leave the sand behind? Carry a container of baby powder and gently powder the sand away. It feels great and works great especially between the toes!! -MaryAnna

You know how those juice boxes just seem to explode when you put the straw in them? Lift up the side flaps (making wings). It will decompress the pressure making it harder for the drink to come out. -MaryAnna

Need a fast, cheap, good sidedish....bring water to boil....add dry onion soup mix ....boullion cubes....soy sauce....cook pasta in it....drain but keep juices....thicken and make gravy out of it....can do the same thing with rice. -Marilyn aka "Iggy"

Cat or dog have fleas?....wash them with Dawn dish detergent......won't hurt animal or kids....but kills fleas everytime! -Marilyn aka "Iggy"
